I have a Lexmark Z51 connected to the parallel port (/dev/lp0). During the initial install, it was detected, however nothing will print. I tried everything I could, but absolutely no output at all. This is a dual boot system, and the printer works perfectly under Windows. I installed the Z51/LX5000 .ppd using the information found at linuxprinting.org. That didn't help at all. I can get no output from the printer, period. Does anyone have a Lezmark Z51 and gotten it to work? Any suggestions? Detailed help would be much appreciated. Thanks- Dan

linuxprinting.org shows this printer as partially working, one step above being a paper weight. Do any errors show in /var/log/cups/error_log? -- Ken Schneider unix user since 1989 linux user since 1994 SuSE user since 1998 (5.2)
