Hans, what problems are you having? My wife has a firewire external h/d and a 4GB USB flashcard working with 9.2. Maybe she can help with your USB h/d problem? Depends on the issues. Please describe. Gil

Yes, I've got an 80 gig Acom Data usb drive. It works fine. I did have some trouble with it. It seems like I had to manually partition it, because it came partitioned as a Windows drive. Other than that, I'll let one of the smart people on the list offer the specifics. good luck, Regis

I have a CoolMax that works on most of my machines. One cant read it, but three others do. Must be something to do with the particular USB thing in that machine. I have similar problems with Flash Drives. Richard -- Old age ain't for Sissies!

120G off usb2 on Acer 1501LCe laptop with 9.2 x86_64 installed, used for critical backups (/home, /root, /etc and other stuff) of 5 boxes on my local network. Using kernel.org kernels, it's /dev/uba1 instead of /dev/sda1. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce .... Hamradio G3VBV and Keen Flyer =====ALMOST ALL LINUX USED HERE, Solaris 10 SPARC is just for play=====

I have Miglia minibank and SuSE 9.2. It works great. FireWire or USB whatever. I have FAT partitions on that, so whan I have to change files with Win or Macintosh computers it works. -- Mirko
