[opensuse] How to resize KDE desktop widgets?
I'm running kde 4.5.5 and I have a desktop widget that shows ~/Desktop and another that shows ~/Documents I changed the icon size (successfully) so I can put them side-by-side (successfully), but I seem unable to resize the windows the widgets display in from their creations size. Yes I know about the 4 control icons, the box with 2 diagonal arrows that does 'drag', the circle-arrow, the spanner that does 'config' and the box with what looks like 4 arrows but brings up the browser. I only seem to be able to 'drag' the windows, not resize them. Hmm. Clock and weather applets too - can't resize. Now is this finger trouble? I'm trying to resize them much as I would a normal windows by dragging a corner in and out. What's wrong? Me or the software? Or the mouse? Or some other setting I've missed? -- The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, and wiser people so full of doubts. --Bertrand Russell -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

If you click and hold the first icon (two arrows) and then move the mouse it should re-size the widget. Sven -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

it usually does, but one or two widgets resist resizing attempts; the pager widget, per example. once it's set to a particular size, it won't get smaller, only bigger. to make it smaller again i have to remove & re-add it. i've seen this in KDE 4.5 & 4.6. always wanted to file a bug against that, but forgot. will try now... -- phani. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Thank you. Not quite what I expected :-) -- The computing field is always in need of new clichés. Alan Perlis -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
