How to enable core dumps in SuSE 8.2
There has been a thread about core dumps during January and the answer was: --<snip>-- Linux has had this facility forever, and it is often suppressed in /etc/rc.local or the equivalent. No rebuild is neccesary for this, just comment the line. --<snip>-- My SuSE8.2 installation does not have a /etc/rc.local. What would the equivalent be? Can I enable core dumps there, and if not, how can I enable core dumps? I need to get core dumps to determine why an application crash.
