Ok, I did this. When I attempt to telnet in to the Win box from the linux box I get the error message 'no route to server'. Quite candidly, I'm totally at sea with regard to the issues that are here and their solutions, I don't have the faintest idea what to put into the DHCP configuration in YAST2. I can get to the router, but can go no further. I tried using samba with the command: smbclient -L igor -I 192.168.1.100 and got: added intergface ip=192.168.1.100 bcast=192.168.1.255 mask-255.255.255.0 Password: (here I tried both the Win2000 password and guest, both gave:) session setup failed: NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE I can get as far as 192.168.1.1, the router in a browser, but can get no further; neither to the Win2000 machine on the router or the internet. I attempted www.suse.com in the browser and got a 'could not locate remote server' error. I don't mind endeavoring to presevere, but I don't have a clue as to what to do next.

I can ping my Win 2000 box at 192.168.1.100, but when I attempt to telnet in my connection is rejected. LinNeighborhood AddMachine gives me a query error when I attempt to access the machine via that route.
