Now if we could get it to be smart enough not to uninstall fetchmail-5.9.13 in favor of the newest SuSE rpm ;) That would be a god sent. It uninstalled the fetchmail rpm I installed off ESR's site and didn't install the 5.9.0 pkg from SuSE. I wondered for hours why I wasn't getting email last Friday. *laugh*

I've not tried it but according to the APT HOWTO you can edit /etc/apt/preferences and place package versions you wish apt not to mess with. It would be something like this: Package: fetchmail Pin: version 5.9.13* Again, I haven't tried it so I don't know if it works with apt4rpm. But it would be nice if it did. -jrh
