SuSE 9.1 and YaST License
Hi, Anyone knows if SuSE have changed YaST license to GPL for 9.1 version? Till v 9.0 it was prohibited to redistribute YaST on any media carreer including ISO images on ftp. However, I am need to build a custom installation which is distributable via ftp as ISO images, not just separate files. Thanks. ********************************************* * Best Regards --- Andrei Verovski * * Personal Home Page * http://snow.prohosting.com/guru4mac/ * Mac, Linux, DTP, Development, IT WEB Site *********************************************

I apologize because I should move this to the OT list but I think that Novell buying SuSE was a great thing. Not because of this but because I think Novell is not going to hurt but in fact help SuSE a great deal. SuSE rocks and so does Philipp Thomas. I'll second that! Fred -- "The only secure Microsoft software is what's still shrink-wrapped in their warehouse..." (Forno)

I hope Bob is right! When Novell acquired Word Perfect and put out WP6.1
that was one of the BEST WP releases ever. I hope they approach SuSE in the
same way. Let us all hope that the corporate ownership changes help the
distribution and not destroy it. Mdk is a classic example of corporate
changes effectively killing a distro. I don't know if it will ever recover.
We will keep our fingers crossed.

WP 6.1 was the slowest dog of a program ever. 5.2 was infinitely superior. --doug ************************************************************************** I hope they approach SuSE in the
