About permissiòns on C
Hi to everyone on the Suse-Linux mailing list :) Well i have a litle problem when a set the permissions on the directory C, thats because on my normal user account i need move files form de C directory to Home I use the SU command or Konqueror for set the permissiòn on the directory C, but after minutes sends me this message: "The user can't nor change the permissiòn on this directory and his files." Thats happens after i installed windows whit service pack 2. any idea¿?

Your C is most probably NTFS. And when it is mounted, the permissions are set according the entries in fstab, and you can not change it later with chown or chmod. You need to change the fstab mounting options either by editing /etc/fstab, or using YaST/System/Partitioner. Select there your shared partition (/dev/hdxy) and click "Edit". Then click on Fstab Options. In Arbitrary option value add: umask=002. This will give read and execute permissions for all users. Or, you can use gid= and uid= to set the owner group and user. One more thing - if you use YaST, it will remount the partition after the changes, but if you edit fstab, you need manually umount and them mount that partition for changes to take effect.
