SuSE 9.0, KDE 3.1.4. I have a specific screen saver enabled, set to start in 30 minutes, password enabled. However, a random screen saver starts at some time less than 30 minutes and it's not password protected. I've double checked the settings in both "Configure Desktop" and "Control Center" and they are the same. "Test" starts the correct screen saver. Also, the "Lock Screen" option in Start Applications does not work. I'm assuming they're connected somehow. What should I look into to rectify this? Thanks- Dan

Sounds like xscreensaver may be getting started when you log in.
(I think) gnome uses x-screensaver. You can check this by opening nautilus and typing preferences:///Advanced in the location bar and running the screensaver preferences, HTH - -- dh Don't shop at ZipZoomFly.com! -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.2 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFAbLXRBwgxlylUsJARAuXkAJ9mfKv+fsibiWrwjUkB5qLj8QZJYACcDe/E K9YQ8Q2L+XE1pG/O3CZD7h4= =S9cy -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
