Hey Group. SuSE 11.0 Alpha 3 I am familiar with the xen kernel but not the "pae" kernel. What advantage or benefit is a "pae" kernel. I did try it and it boots correctly. However,my printer will not work and cupd was running. -- 73 de Donn Washburn 307 Savoy Street Email:" n5xwb@windstream.net " Sugar Land, TX 77478 LL# 1.281.242.3256 Ham Callsign N5XWB HAMs : " n5xwb@arrl.net " VoIP via Gizmo: bmw_87kbike / via Skype: n5xwbg BMW MOA #: 4146 - Ambassador " http://counter.li.org " #279316 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

PAE is almost only useful if you have like more than 3GB RAM in your 32bit machine. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physical_Address_Extension I doubt that the printer issue has anything to do with it.
