Final question - this click-and-point stuff is okay, but how do I do this config with a script (hopefully to be called by autoyast at some point). I'm sure there must be an underlying xml file somewhere.
I need to configure KDE / a KDE plugin (libreoffice tooltip) to show the right values in tooltips in Dolphin. I want to do this during installation with a script. (with the intent of doing it with autoyast at a later date). I suspect it can be accomplished by editing an XML file somewhere, can someone tell me where? -- Per Jessen, Zürich (15.9°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - virtual servers, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I was going to say the first time round that I think you might have more luck with that by posting on the KDE forums. Enough people here know about scripting but not necessarily very KDE-specific functions. https://forum.kde.org/ You could also try the KDE subreddit, plenty of geeks there: http://www.reddit.com/r/kde Peter -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

1. Make a new user account 2. login with KDE 3. mv .kde4 .kde4.orig 4. logout 5. login with KDE # this will generate a new .kde4 directory 6. Make the desired configuration changes 7. logout 8 login as root 9 diff the /home/$USER/.kde4 aand /home/$USER/.kde4.orig directory trees to identify which files change and in what way(s). 10 -- the hard part Write sed or awk scripts to modify files as desired.
