Yes, unfortunately Netscape on 6.4 is very crash prone. This seems to be triggered by a compiler bug in the X11 libraries. An update should appear soon. In addition to updating the netscape RPM itself, you need to update some XFree86 packages as well.
Any chance of this list being told when the updates are ready? Paul. P.S. 6.4 arrived today, so I might have to go home early. :-) -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

The update should already be available :) A collegue of mine also wrote a
SDB article on that subject today that should be visible soon, if it's not
already so.

It would be nice if you made a new link for 6.4 updates on http://www.suse.de/en/support/download/updates/ o that people can actually find these updates. _I_ know that I can find them on ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse/i386/update/6.4/ but I don't think _everybody_ knows this... ;-) -- ---J.T.U. /==================================================================\ | Jon Trygve Utne |e-mail: jont@ii.uib.no | | Department of Informatics | Jon.Utne@mi.uib.no | | University of Bergen, Norway | Jon.Utne@student.uib.no | | Tlf(work) +47 55 58 82 95 |"Smith & Wesson: The original| | URL: http://www.ii.uib.no/~jont | point and click interface" | \==================================================================/ -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/

Hi, I've upgraded to 6.4 only for a couple of days and have had no problems with netscape. I'm using the XFree86 4.0 X server and the java engines turned on, also. -- Rafael Herrera Laboratory for Computational Neuroscience University of Pittsburgh http://www.neuronet.pitt.edu/~raffo -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
