[opensuse] leap421 - dolphin with fish:// ?
I can't seem to get $SUBJ to work, in Dolphin I keep getting a pop-up asking for the password. Connecting with ssh from the command line works fine. I was just wondering if anyone has got this to work? -- Posted with knode 4.14 from openSUSE Leap42.1 office34: Cyrix 486DX2/66MHz, 4096Mb RAM, #9 GXE -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I didn't research this deeply, but sometimes (for some servers), fish:// works fine, sometimes I end up with ssh:// or sftp:// I don't know why... -- Vojtěch Zeisek Komunita openSUSE GNU/Linuxu Community of the openSUSE GNU/Linux https://www.opensuse.org/ https://trapa.cz/

Ah, interesting. I've only tried with two servers - a fairly old openSUSE 10.3 and 12.2. I'll try some other versions. Does anyone know where I might look for clues as to what goes wrong in KDE/Dolphin? -- Per Jessen, Zürich (23.7°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - virtual servers, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Thank you, jdd - between the same openSUSE versions or also between different versions? I have tried fish:// to opensuse 10.3, 12.2 and 13.1 - none of them worked. -- Posted with knode 4.14 from openSUSE Leap42.1 office34: Cyrix 486DX2/66MHz, 4096Mb RAM, #9 GXE -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

home is leap, server is 13.1 and I made a clean install at home very recently. May be one ssh option on server side? jdd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Good to know that it works at least.

Using ssh from the command line works fine. It's only fish:// that has a problem. Do you get the kwallet pop-up? I have noticed that I'm not seeing that on Leap421::kde5. -- Posted with knode 4.14 from openSUSE Leap42.1 office34: Cyrix 486DX2/66MHz, 4096Mb RAM, #9 GXE -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I never see it, so I went to try to configure kwallet. I can't even save the settings .... http://files.jessen.ch/Screenshot_20160807_174455.jpeg -- Posted with knode 4.14 from openSUSE Leap42.1 office34: Cyrix 486DX2/66MHz, 4096Mb RAM, #9 GXE -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

jdd, which kind of encryption do you use for the wallet, blowfish or gpg-based? I opted for blowfish as most office machines won't have any gpg setup. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (18.6°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - your free DNS host, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Hmm. I get two choices - either blowfish and gpg (the default). The gpg option doesn't work unless you have gpg configured on the machine though. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (16.2°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - dedicated server rental in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I don't use gpg, it may be blowfish jdd -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

My hunch is that this is kwallet related. I can't seem to get kwallet to work with blowfish encryption. https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=992509 -- Posted with knode 4.14 from openSUSE Leap42.1 office34: Cyrix 486DX2/66MHz, 4096Mb RAM, #9 GXE -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
