[opensuse] Amarok is Crashing
Hello, My amarok is crashing after playing some songs, or if I shuffle songs often. My music library is 9 GB and I use Dual core 2.66 GhZ, 2GB RAM. I'm in Suse 11.3 and the amarok is the default came with it. -- I am me, I wanna be me. Have you tried the version from the packman repo - it tends to be more up to date, and isn't cripled when it comes to file formats. The size of your collection shouldn't be an issue - amarok runs fine here with 70G (20,000 files) Dx -- “ ‘... but there is so much else behind what I say. I'm using that. 2.3.3

Amarok would crash here some weeks ago when using a specific version of libxine, especially when playing wma files. Try updating libxine1, libxine1- codecs or installing phonon-vlc from the videolan repository and switching to the vlc phonon backend. The latter option has the drawback that the vlc backend is in early development and causes amarok to crash on exit.
