Hi, SuSE has announced 9.0 for download installation. I wonder how can you do it when u first boot from floppy disk in combination with an DSL connection? I guess you have to configure somehow the network card for DSL which is done on my machine via PPP. Is this possible to do configure the network prior to the installation when you use SuSEs boot floppy? Ulrich
You probably mean pppoe or something similar, right? That is if you use your dsl box in bridge mode. Can't you just use it as a router, i.e., it does the pppoe on its own and acts as a dhcp serve for your box? That is how I have set up my system using a Wetell Wirespeed modem, and if I were to try what you want to do I'd simply set up my network with dhcp. Perhaps the point is mute if your DSL provider requires you to set up pppoe on your own machine, and in that case I wouldn't know what to do either, unless any of the modules disks contains the pppoe configuration.
