[opensuse] Bluetooth problem 11.1
I just upgraded to The boxed 11.1 from 10.2. I know, it's a long time to go between upgrades. dmesg and /var/log/messages show the kernel module being loaded and system info shows my cheapie no-name bluetooth dongle. KdeBluetooth says there is no device. I've tried under both KDE 3.5 and KDE4. Any suggestions? It is known bug. I think it already resolved for kdbluetooth4 see https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=438956 There is 1-click install for kde4 stable (4.1.3) http://software.opensuse.org/ymp/KDE:KDE4:STABLE:Desktop/openSUSE_11.1/kdebl... For kdebluetooth3, the bug is still open see https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=450107 Well, there is a workaround, use bluez3 instead of bluez that comes with 11.1. There is a partial fix for kdebluetooth4 that allows you to detect a device (input devices, don't know about others) and use it, but only for the duration of the connection session -- you have to redetect and reconfigure the device after every break. http://software.opensuse.org/ymp/KDE:KDE4:STABLE:Desktop/openSUSE_11.1/kdebl...
