[SLE] 6.4/geforce2/XF864.0.1 success
ok ... here is what i did to make this work on top of my clean 6.4/XF86 4.0.1 install: 1. downloaded kernel 2.2.17 from ftp.kernel.org (could not find 2.2.18x) 2. downloaded the nvidia driver sources from nvidia. 3. built and installed a new kernel. 4. built the nvidia kernel module and the glx libraries. 5. ran sax2, configured a 640x480 xconfig. 6. reran sax2 and configure a new 1024x760 xconfig. the hardware is AMD800/asusAV7 mainboard/asus7700geforce2. so far so good -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq
