So, check the config file to see as which user apache is running. And see what permissions are set for the directory in which your pages are.

There should be a number of language dependent index.html files in /srv/www/htdocs, e.g index.html.en. If they exist, your problem is something different, perhaps a problem in /etc/apache2/httpd.conf. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce ...
