Tried that but all I get is another /media/ipod-1 the error is: Method "mount" with signature "ssas" on interface "org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Valume" doesn't exist This error pops up over an Konq screen for /media/sda1 Sean -- Strange Things happen under the midnight sun When men and dogs go hunting for gold

no, not with hal automatic mount point. Hal creates special hidden file in it's mount point to recognise them. if it don't find the special file it creates an alternative mount point and confuse konq. jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://dodin.org/galerie_photo_web/expo/index.html http://lucien.dodin.net http://fr.susewiki.org/index.php?title=Gérer_ses_photos -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

How do you go about that? Can you download from iTunes? My mom has been bugging me, because she wants to get an iPod. Since I refuse to get one, I know very little about how it all works on either Wintendo or Linux. I did manage to get iTunes running under CX Office yesterday just as a test. http://www.perfectreign.com/?q=node/21 I'm not sure if it works with an ipod or not. Of course, I emailed Apple support and asked where the iPod Linux client is. gtkpod has nothing to do with the iTunes store. I have my collection and don't use itunes anyway. I have this thing about drm music. my cd collection moved to the ipod nicely using gtkpod. -- One day at a time, one second if that's what it takes -- Check the headers for your unsubscription address For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the archives at http://lists.suse.com Please read the FAQs: suse-linux-e-faq@suse.com

The 'amarok' media player apparently has ipod support. It's got an ipod tab which will supposedly let you copy to (from?) your ipod. Never tried it, though. -- ----- stephan@s11n.net http://s11n.net "...pleasure is a grace and is not obedient to the commands of the will." -- Alan W. Watts
