I don't know enough about the topic to say for sure, but it looks like M$ have open the FUD gates here. I thought some of you might be interested:

Yipe, I really must watch the news more often. Anybody know what happened to the other 5.7 billion souls who used to frequent this planet ? Stuart.

The 500 Million are Bill's Chosen. The rest of us will burn in a furnace of discarded Linux and Unix machines for all eternity.

But does anyone else notice a teeny paradox: "Linux is simply a fad that has been generated by the media and is destined to fall by the wayside in time." (by the *media?* - most Brit journalists can't spell Linux, let alone trumpet it) is an interesting contrast with: "... the advent of Linux has spurred Microsoft's developers to move up a gear." If Linux is so expensive and a mere fad, how come MS are having to work harder to beat it off? Take care all, Fergus
