Hi all,
Back a few years ago I learned C using Borland's Turbo C for Dos (not the
window's version). I did like it very much. So my question is what could you'all suggest like it for SuSE / Linux? You probably want to look into Bison, which is the GNU clone of BCC for Linux. It is only an IDE, using gcc and/or egcs for it's core compiler tools. Check http://metalab.unc.edu, http://freshmeat.net, or http://www.linuxnow.com/library.shtml for the latest version.
Also I've got allot of C programing books that deal only with dos. How much difference is there between Linux C and dos C? Is there any howto I can read about it?
Hmm...I don't know for sure, but I'm sure the differences are just enough to be irritating :). If you are a Borland fan give them a call. They had a rather nice sized booth at the LinuxWorld Expo. Supposedly they are porting their programs to Linux. It would be real nice to have delphi on linux. Its real nice to see that they are leaning in that direction. At 03:03 PM 8/29/1999 -0700, Mr. M wrote:
