Just installed suse 7.1 and everthing works find except when I upgraded kde to 2.1.1 and install the 2.3 experiment qt, when I check off the AA fonts in the control center and restart X I get all kinds of funny things happening. it starts X real slow and most programs won't run. some of the fonts are italic sometimes the taskbar doesn't come up at all. Other times X won't finish at all, I get is a blank screen. If I change AA to false ( I have to do this to kdeglobal file under .kde dir ) manually X starts with no problems but no AA fonts. I have followed the direction and still have problems with the taskbar and programs starting and the fonts don't look right. I have reinstall all the files that are in the kde2 dir for 7.1 which where updated 4/08/01 on ftp.suse.com. if I uncheck the AA option everything works find except no AA fonts. everything worked fine with the 2.1 version of kde so there must be some kind of bug in the 2.1.1 release for AA. anyone else having problems or suggestions.
