Re: [S.u.S.E. Linux] Using a different X server
The best thing to do is install the 'packages' using YAST. Go into YAST: - select Install Packages. - select the *.tgz files you downloaded when prompted. - once you done this then exit YAST. - redo your XF86Setup or xf86config for x-windows That is all you should have to do! Linux] Using a different X server
Hi,
I have downloaded xsuseconfig.gz and xmatrox.gz from www.suse.com or somewhere similar... but what do I do with them now?
Using gunzip I can extract the contents (I get left with two files, presumable .exe's (they show up red using ls) the same as the .gz). Where do I put them, and how can I use them?
Sorry again for a probably easy question. What is the address of the newbie mailing list? --
