hi, I am trying ti install IDL Student Edition 5.6. While the installation was done without any problem on SuSE9.0, SuSE9.2 there are difficulties on SuSE10. The following error message-window opens: The following error occured while installing the IDL Program Files tar file: base1.tz Continue with installation tar: Read 7168 bytes from - I don't read this message. Neither I can find what does it mean. Did somebody else experienced this too? oliver
Oliver, You will have better luck at having people reply to your post/s if you would at least start a new message without hijacking everybodies elses message. Seems almost every message that appeared to come from you in the last week was hijacked - and I am not talking about that one message that appears to come from yourself, but was top posted ;) just an observation...

So you press <ctrl> and than the character that corresponds to the link. It will than move on to the marked linked. Very handy feature :) -- Richard Bos Without a home the journey is endless
