Annoying problem. KDE File Manager - Super User Mode
Hi Folks, I don't know the internals of KDE but I'm having a very very annoying problem. I don't know how it happend but the the "File Manager - Super User Mode" dos not work anymore. Please tell me what should I do to get it working? It dies silently right after entering the root password in the kdesu dialog. If I try to run it from shell (in KDE, logged a as normal user) as root I get te X connection refused error (naturally) and after executing I xhost +locahost I get the following error when I try to run konqueror as root DCOPClient::attachInternal. Attach failed Could not open network socket DCOPServer up and running. mcop warning: user defined signal handler found for SIG_PIPE, overriding /tmp/mcop-oykug is not owned by user **oykug is the user name I'm logged as*** Mutex destroy failure: Device or resouce busy. kdeinit: Fatal IO error: client killed. kdeinit: Sending SIGHUP to children kdeinit: sending SIGTERM to children kdeinit: Exit. sh: dcopserver_shutdown: command not found Please help me to get rid of this annoying problem. all the packages are SuSE rpms. All updates are from SuSE YOU and LinuKS. Regards. Oyku Gencay
