I'm not sure about the version off the 5.3 CDs but I have downloaded 4.5 and it isn't checking by default. I can spell check with Alt-K but usually forget to. I will dig around in the Netscape reference pages tommorrow when I'm at work. Perhaps I'll find something there. It would be really neat though if 4.5 for Windows and Linux would have the same options though.
