[opensuse] Is anybody using clementine?
Hi, Ive just installed Clementine version 0.5.1-1.1 arch x86_64 from vendor obs://build.opensuse.org/KDE, but it won't run. I get the following error: :~> clementine clementine: symbol lookup error: clementine: undefined symbol: _ZN9QListData11detach_growEPii which I don't understand :( I'm aware that the latest version on their website is 0.5.3, but I'd prefer to get the opensuse version. Thanks Per. I've read through that thread, but not sure how it helps me. I was only trying clementine as an amarok replacement, so it's not mission critical. That's it! My ../KDE:/Extra repo was still stuck on the Factory version. Switching to the above Release repo has mended Clementine. Many thanks. That bug seems to be something else. The symbol missing there has been around in Qt 4 for a long time. That looks more like an installation problem with libqt4 Anders -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Same problem we had the other day. That symbol is new for Qt 4.7. It seems the KDE repos have switched to building against it Anders -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Yes, some have: http://lizards.opensuse.org/2010/09/22/qt-4-7-0-in-opensuse-kde-updates/ Sort your repositories out as advised and you should get a build vs Qt 4.6 that works. Yes, and perhaps someone could do Requires: libqt4 >= 4.7 in some strategic place. Since it's binary incompatible it would make things cleaner I think Anders -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

We do add a versioned libqt4-x11 dependency to our packages in our KDE rpm macros but since Clementine is only Qt it doesn't use those macros - I'll look at making some pure Qt macros for these apps that the KDE macros can use as well.
