Whatever user I use, this is the error message I get now... Sorry, I don't know what does the difference between this situation and the previous one. There is no file in the /porc/bus/usb folder. Please, any idea? Thanks! Best, Ricardo -- Ricardo Rodríguez XEN, Resources Management

This error is happening because you have su'd to the root user and root doesn't have the DISPLAY environment variable set. Try: export DISPLAY=127.0.0.1:0 usbview If that doesn't work, log in to X11 as the root user and try it. -- ----- stephan@s11n.net http://s11n.net "...pleasure is a grace and is not obedient to the commands of the will." -- Alan W.
