Hello List, Just a note to publicly thank all who offered help / advice on this thread. I have come to the conclusion that what I have is not a network problem, but rather something to do with Netscape and possibly its Keyword program. I also just learned from another posting that some things have been moved around in this version (7.0 Pro). I will continue my quest, but do not want to take up anymore of anyone's time. This is a great list and I do not want to abuse it. I can see I have some more homework to do before I once again throw myself at the mercy of this list. Hi, Can't recall my username & passwd. I do remember my root passwrd and can get in via this to x-windows. In x-windows can you create a new user name + password? harmless. ;-)

you can reactivate the old. start yast from the shell, elect: system administration | user management (or what comes next to this term) you'll see a mask with "username" at the top. activate that field and press F3. browse the list and look for the obvious name (if you want the name, well you can "ls -l /home" and take the name from the home directory btw.) press <enter> and until you reach the password field. Enter and confirm a new password. memorize both ;-) leave yast and that will be it. Juergen PS: you can add further user accounts that way too.
