Hi, I'm running OpenSuse 10.3 64bit on my AMD 64x2 notebook. I was examining my /var/log/messages log file and noticed a LOT (like one ever few seconds!!!) of messages of the following: Nov 12 20:23:54 orm7700a acpid: received event "processor CPU0 00000080 00000000" Nov 12 20:23:54 orm7700a acpid: notifying client 3002[101:102] Nov 12 20:23:54 orm7700a acpid: notifying client 3046[0:0] Nov 12 20:23:54 orm7700a acpid: notifying client 4015[0:0] Nov 12 20:23:54 orm7700a acpid: completed event "processor CPU0 00000080 00000000" Can anyone shed some light on what this event is and how to stop it from logging?? Thanks for any feedback. Best regards.
