I did let a note about that... jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://dodin.org/galerie_photo_web/expo/index.html http://lucien.dodin.net http://fr.susewiki.org/index.php?title=Gérer_ses_photos --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
I think the reason why the say it's not free. Is because they think de boxed version is also openSuSE. Even tough it's called "SUSE® Linux 10.1". I don't think it's openSuSE. quote from the questionnaire: <quote> In addition, we found these matches, sorted by how well they match: OpenSuSE The openSUSE project is a community program sponsored by Novell. SUSE Linux 10.1 = openSUSE 10.1 Is the same thing, the "GM" CDs are exactly the same ones you found in the BOX, you can found there real player, java, etc. Here you can download Suse Linux 10.1 for free ( gratis ): http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/SL-10.1/iso/ You can download from here the DVD with full non-free software but completely gratis. http://mirrors.kernel.org/opensuse/distribution/SL-10.1/non-oss-dvd-iso/ What you buy with the box is not the software, but the media and the support. Please have a look at: http://www.novell.com/products/suselinux/commercial.html Software exclusive to SUSE Linux Application Company AGFA Monotype Fonts AGFA Moneyplex (home banking) Matrica TextMaker (word processing) SoftMaker PlanMaker (spreadsheets) SoftMaker Sesam (Backup) SEP Arcad (3D CAAD Demo version) Arcad However, to call openSUSE unfree therefore just proves dogmatic thinking of the caller. I know i know, but every body is getting confused with this openSUSE and SUSE Linux thing, basically is the same thing but with a different name, but people think SUSE Linux is the commercial version of openSUSE. Just take a look: http://www.google.cl/search?hl=en&q=opensuse+10.1&btnG=B%C3%BAsqueda+en+Google&meta= And count how many reviews about openSUSE 10.1 can you find, funny if you know openSUSE 10.1 don't even exist. -- Marcel Mourguiart

It is confusing. The Novell's decision to rename it is actually result of fact that so many called distribution openSUSE. -- Regards, Rajko M. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
