Hi Folks once again As some of you will have read i had to do an reinstall of Opensuse 11.1 a few days ago this included all the other stuff as well one of the things i had to also reinstall was the umtsmon software and one other piece with it , previous to the forced reinstall it all worked fine both as root and as a user Now however for one thing it takes forever to detect the device then when it does and i attempt to connect i get " PPPfailed to connect" for both user and root , now this sort of make no sense at all i changed nothing on the previos install so why should i have to on this one when it is from the exact same DVD in the same completely unchanged machine Ideas please i would in reality need this working for 19:45 GMT tonight so if anyone has any suggestions please got a committe meeeting tonight and will need internet access for it (got to fry the web masters nuts) Pete . -- Opensuse 10.3 x86_64 (Linux is like a wigwam no Gates, no Windows, and an Apache inside.) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I experience he same, but it works for me if I override the auto-detection on the commandline, such as: umtsmon -s /dev/ttyUSB0,/dev/ttyUSB0 Regards, Lars -- Teamlead Kernel, SuSE Labs, Research and Development SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) "Experience is the name everyone gives to their mistakes." -- Oscar Wilde -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
