X constantly hogs CPU by 20-30+%
Hi! I do run 8.2, XF86 4.3.0-63 (build on my own), have a Geforce2 and have the latest nvidia driver installed. Right now this is what top says PID USER PR NI VIRT SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ SWAP Command 3162 root 15 0 362m 16m S 26.8 8.8 99:02.90 296m /usr/X11R6/bin/X vt7 -auth /var/lib/xdm/authdir/authfiles/A:0-etE0lk X *always* hogs my CPU by at least 10% and usually by something between 15-30% - no matter whether somethings is happening on screen or is not at all. Once X even allocated 1.3 GB (!) of swap but even when I disable swap completely top goes 256m. What's going wrong??

Try the original suse X thing. Maybe there is a bug or something on your version. -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson
