[SLE] [B00T] Weird Linux Panic on Boot - no idea? 3rd try
I'll watch to see if you do better than I did. I ad the same problem on a Redhat machine, but never got a single response from anyone in the RH community about it. In the end I believed that the machine itself was bad. My computer shop replaced the machine and I never saw it again. I did not significant study to find out what part of the kernel (presumably) was generating this. Good luck! -----Original Message----- From: Oliver Ob [mailto:ob_ok@gmx.net] Sent: Monday, June 18, 2001 3:46 AM To: suse-linux-e@suse.com Subject: [SLE] [B00T] Weird Linux Panic on Boot - no idea? 2nd try Hi fellows, I got a strange problem on another of my computers: *When I boot the system the following error message occurs over and over again: "Kmem_alloc: Bad Slab magic (corrupt) name=buffer_head" Can anyone of you point me to where I can obtain information on this? -- *º¤., ¸¸,.¤º*¨¨¨*¤ =Oliver@home= *º¤., ¸¸,.¤º*¨¨*¤
