RE: [SLE] Apache questions
Zentara; We have looked at default permissions. It seems that when they FTP over a file to thier webserver the permissions are set to 640 or 660 or 750 depending on the type of file. What I was wondering was why, and then how that can be changed. I have looked in the HOWTO's, packages, and the rest of SuSE documentation. Any help or ideas would be wonderfully accepted. -- Kirk Moore EPM - Release Management environments - STL's 425-965-6284(desk) <<---- NEW NUMBER 206-797-9092 (pager) Black holes are created when God divides by zero!

When a web site adds something new to thier site, it is added with a mask of lets say 640 instead of 666 or 644 for permissions. I have looked and read, and cannot see what I have done wrong in the set up of apache.
Any ideas?
What is the problem? Just change the script's permissions to whatever you need it to be. There are alot of default permissions that get set when you upload things. Just change them. I don't think apache adjusts permissions, it is usually the directory permissions of where it's uploaded. That's what I seem to see.
