Re: [SLE] Re: Samsung ML-1710 stopped working
I remember seeing a little red X on the printer icon earlier, but just now when I went to check it, the red X was already gone and the print is working. Thanks. At 11:23 AM 4/5/06, Chuck Davis wrote:

Try this:
From start button, use this: start -> utilities -> printing -> printing manager. At the bottom, select the amini mode. Then, if this is going to help, there will be a little red X in a circle on the printer. Right click the printer and start it again.
Please report whether this helped.

Samsung ML-1700 usb laser printer.
I disconnected the usb wire from the SUSE93 system and connected it to a Win98 laptop to print a few documents; then reconnected usb wire to SUSE93 system. The printer no longer works from SUSE93. In CUPS setup, there is a button for "test connection", that is successful, but no reaction from printer at all. I have tried disconnect printer, delete printer, reboot, add printer, test printer - still nothing. Reconnecting to Win98 still works. What should I try next?
