[opensuse] It appears that print odd or even pages in LibreOffice has disapeared
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, I can not find the option to print only odd or even pages in LibreOffice 5.0.4.2. I'm sure that I have done it previously. The only option I see is to specify print pages 1,3,5,7,9.... this is a nuisance and prone to mistakes. Am I missing something? The alternative I see is print to postscript file, and handle it there... - -- Cheers Carlos E. R. In my version (5.1.0.3) it appears on the Page Layout tab of the File / Print dialog box, under the heading of "Page Sides". - -- After all is said and done, more is said than done. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2 iEYEARECAAYFAlbA90sACgkQv7M3G5+2DLKaZACfdATv3RDqYPBNHhAfHoVtfkri LdYAnjsrAefVNDijJoPAbQ4S85Ln99d1 =aQBA -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Yes! It is there, thankyou. But this means I have to use two dialogs to achieve the same thing. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 13.1 x86_64 "Bottle" at Telcontar)

Yes, but I'm fine with moving seldom used features to back tabs in order to simplify common tasks. I suppose for those without page-flipping printers this function may be used more often, to achieve paper saving. But my printers all have this capability so for me, having that option hidden away is just fine. I suspect it is such a hassle to flip the stack and expect it to feed correctly that few people do that without a built in capability. - -- After all is said and done, more is said than done. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2 iEYEARECAAYFAlbA+xcACgkQv7M3G5+2DLKSGQCfb6eTU9McAGbdDHb6qi78JOwf z+sAnigFDzbJhcGOBAyOIqSSujKFNXv4 =xzKh -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

It is in the same dialog, but with changed wording so that I didn't notice it.

Mine don't. Last time I went purchasing, they were more expensive and bulkier.

I do, when printing a bunch of papers or when posting heavy letters. Saves half the bulk. - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. I'll have to try that with my next e-mail. <smirk> Seriously, I haven't written a letter in years. I do write and print manuals though, and news letters etc, and I often use the sheet turner feature, they are cheap and effective these days. And I'm one of those guys that would rather proof read on paper. (You probably knew that, just reading my posts). - -- After all is said and done, more is said than done. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2 iEYEARECAAYFAlbA/3MACgkQv7M3G5+2DLKIGACcCcJ7c9S7MJvbmJPgdVssRrZF GYEAoJ4z2bdvzZOQbuCjtqiK7TI0F0lJ =2I2P -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I'm forced to do it today. This recipient has problems reading PDFs with passwords. :-/

Maybe, but I don't remember, sorry. But I think the same, paper is better for proof reading :-) - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. No, If you set it with File -> Printer Settings, it becomes the default in File - -> Print for that document. If you just need to use it on a one-shot basis, just use the File -> Print option for Page Sides. - -- David C.
