When i first installed 10.0 the mounted CD and dvd showed on the desktop after I turned them on in the device icons. They have disappeared recently and will not come back. Even the floppy disappeared. has anyone else experienced this. i know it was a problem in 9.1 -- Russ

They are by default in "My Computer". They can be configured to appear on the desktop in KDE Control Center/Desktop/Behaviour/Device Icons

They still do not show up on the desktop. Also looking at my computer the dvd and cdrw do not show up there either and I have my SUSE10.0 DVD in the DVD drive and working from YaST. I have show device Icons checked and each of the drives checked to show mounted and unmounted.
When I first installed they showed then disappeared. I keep checking, thanks for the response. -- Russ
