Hello all, Has anybody gotten this to work and TESTED with failed drives ?? I have 2 identical disks that are partitioned the same with only boot not on raid. I mirrored bootsector and /boot using "dd". I edited /etc/fstab to include "LABEL=boot" and gave this label to both partitions. So the thing should come up with raid in degraded mode when booting. It does boot, but no matter which disk I plug out, I get "VFS : kernel panic failed to mount mount root filesystem" . With both disks plugged in it works ok. I even mucked about with initrd, NO AVAIL. What's wrong here ? How is it done right ??? Thanks for any advice, my (and Linux') honour is at stake. Regards Dan
