Hello SuSE folkz, I did clean installation of SuSE8.2 Everything went smoothly except the following things: 1. Kmenu in KDE doesn't display some of installed applications. 2. There is no way to add new entries into Kmenu. When I added new application items in Kmenuedit, they weren't updated in the Kmenu. I did logout and login, and even rebooted the system. Kmenu wasn't updated - period. When I reopened Kmenuedit, all my new entries were in place, but I can't see them in Kmenu. This is a very frustrating. Could somebody please help me to correct this issue. Thanks. Alex

Alex, Welcome aboard. Your problem is a strange one as I have not had any problems like this in 8.2! I did have it happen when running 8.1, but it was easy to get around by running "kbuildsycoca" in a shell. That would always refresh the menu to see the new items you add. Don't know why you should have to do that with a fresh install though, very strange. Hopefully that will work for you for now, until another solution comes available.
