[opensuse] 10.2 RC1 and updating to Gold
If I start with RC1, with Yast update me to the Gold version when it is available? Any one hosting an ISO DVD version of AMD64 bit version? TIA -- Thomas Miller Chrome Portal Project Manager CPCUG Programmers SIG Chairperson (formally Delphi) Delphi Client/Server Certified Developer BSS Accounting & Distribution Software BSS Enterprise Accounting FrameWork http://www.bss-software.com http://programmers.cpcug.org/ http://sourceforge.net/projects/chromeportal/ http://sourceforge.net/projects/uopl/ http://sourceforge.net/projects/dbexpressplus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
Does the internet installation work? I tried with 10.1 and it failed to ever load YAST and now the same thing with 10.2? The error I get is "Could not find OpenSuse Installation source. Precede with manual setup." with an OK button. I am also trying to install overtop 10.1. If you have any pointers, please let me know. Thanks. Thomas Miller wrote:

I don't know what is that.

It does work. You must be doing something wrong. You don't give sufficient info to offer a diagnosis.
The error I get is "Could not find OpenSuse Installation source. Precede with manual setup."
Network error? Firewall?
I am also trying to install overtop 10.1. If you have any pointers, please let me know.
I don't understand. Please explain.

None that I know. Have a look at the download info in the opensuse web page. Use torrent. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. You have the problem with network connection, server is too busy or you made typo entering the server and path on the server. Have you looked at: http://en.opensuse.org/Network_Installation_Source http://en.opensuse.org/Installation_without_CD BTW, I would not recommend you to use Internet based network installation in a few first days after public release. Servers are slow and installation can fail randomly because of timeouts. It would be better to download CD/DVD iso and go from there. -- Regards, Rajko M. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
