[opensuse] 11.3 boot errors with encrypted LVM setup
Hi All, I was if everyone having configured and using an encrypted LVM setup has the following errors on boot before you enter your passphrase? --- doing fast boot mkdir: cannot create directory '/dev/mapper' : File exists mknod: '/dev/mapper/control' : File exists Creating devices nodes with udev Volume group "system" not found Volume group "system" not found Volume group "system" not found Volume group "system" not found --- It then goes on to specify only keyboard is supported and prompts you for your encrypted passphrase to decrypt your encrypted lvm. Anyone know why the above errors seem present on an opensuse 11.3 fresh install with encrypted LVM configured? I have encrypted root with LVM and I have same errors. But everything seems to work fine, so I do not care at all. :-)
It then goes on to specify only keyboard is supported and prompts you for your encrypted passphrase to decrypt your encrypted lvm.
Anyone know why the above errors seem present on an opensuse 11.3 fresh install with encrypted LVM configured?
Best regards, Divan

lol, you're right, there are no real problems... I only enquire because I prefer to see no error messages when I boot and like a "prettier" boot up. :) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Well, if You think it is bug (it actually might be), make a new Bugzilla entry and see what happens... ;) Best regards, -- Vojtěch Zeisek Komunita openSUSE GNU/Linuxu Community of the openSUSE GNU/Linux http://www.opensuse.org/ http://web.natur.cuni.cz/~zeisek/
