Just try it with '--test': rpm --test --install

However in general there is no reason you cannot take the source SRPM and rebuild it against 11.1. That should work fine. I presume, there is a fair chance that noargs (bash, python, perl, php) stuff will also work.. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I guess you mean noarch packages :) In general they should work as long as both distributions run the same version of interpreter. Philipp -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

It may or may not work, and is not supported. Try installing the rpm with zypper install foobar.rpm if it causes no conflict, go ahead.

It will not install, if you force install, your system may get broken. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
Dear All, Thanks for all of you that very kindly give comment & advises. Hmm.... Seems I should think twice before install RPM of 11.2 to 11.1.
