[opensuse] MIT-MAGIC COOKIE-1
Dear listmembers, I recently upgraded from 42.3 via 15.0 to 15.1 - so far, so good. I am currently facing one single problem you (might ...) be able to help me with: When deleting .Xauthority and re-logging in, everything is running fine. When I log in for a second time I always get such messages when starting programs from within an xterm: Invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 key and xauthresults in xauth> list <ABC>.<mydomain>.com/unix:0 MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 65db7bfc71996ce5f85e255a52d13e70 <ABC>/unix:0 MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 488c94f4a806b77dd0e34f1dcbc54545 xauth> when deleting Xauthority and logging in for the first time this problem does not show, I only see the first line containing "<ABC.domain.com>". Any hints/ ideas? Everything seems to work, however, I would love to get rid of this ... Thank you very much for looking into this, best Dieter Jurzitza -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

There is one detail often forgotten: run rpmconfigcheck And handle all that output. For example, you get /etc/permissions.local.rpmnew Then run: meld /etc/permissions.local /etc/permissions.local.rpmnew do whatever needs done, then delete the 2nd file. Repeat for every entry. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from oS Leap 15.0 x86_64 (Minas Tirith))
