[opensuse] Opening attachments in Thunderbird
Hi, I don't know how I did this, but since a while I can't open e.g. pdf-attachments in thunderbird (maybe it was there from the start, but now I find it annoying). I have to save it, or open it with the gimp. I would like to open it in a regular pdf-viewer. The list in "edit/preferences/attachments" is empty. Is this normal ? Do I just search for the binaries for adobe reader or okular when asked how to open it ? I'm using TBird 3.1.8 on OS 11.2 Thanks, Koenraad Lelong -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

i had a similar problem using kmail in OS 11.4 it wasn't a kmail problem though, it was that OS did not install a reader for me ― a quick trip to yast and a search for adobe gave me the binary called 'acroread' and i was good to go sc -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Thanks for your response, but I do have Adobe Reader and Okular installed. I'm going to try with locating the Reader binary. Thanks, Koenraad. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Hi, An update : it seems I did NOT have Adobe Reader installed. Once installed, I could open pdf in Thunderbird. My apologies. Regards, Koenraad Lelong. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
