I have (2) 45GB IBM 7200rpm drives in a mirrored RAID. Drivers are in the kernel, disk admin happens at the BIOS level. I think they are wonderful.

We are using one since June/July flawlessly... Ben a while back reported that SuSE was using them in their server with excellent results. Hope it helps, Alvaro Novo SuSE 7.1 Pro -=- Kernel 2.4.9-4GB -=- KDE 2.2 5:29pm up 5 days, 8:27, 2 users, load average: 0.35, 0.24, 0.09
I am currently using a 3Ware 7810 with 8 x 80 GB Maxtor drives for an NFS server. It rocks! I have a RAID 10 setup and the performance is awesome. - Herman Jack Malone wrote:
