I just rec'd a call from someone who was working in OO Writer and unexpecedly, his taskbar vanished. I had him remove the kickerrc file in /home/xx/.kde/share/config dir. Then "kill" KDE and login again. This works to fix the problem, but for sure, there's something strange happening to that file. Fred -- MickySoft, the ultimate corporate parasite.
