Are the updates in the respective "people" directories somewhat supported and by whom? Thank You, Anthony
No, these directories are really not suppose to be used by anyone but SuSE employee's. If you choose to take a src tarball or RPM from these directories such as Mantel's kernel's or something. You are entirely on your own. These directories exist so that SuSE employee's can give access to those who need it. * Anthony W. I've seen several postings of user's updating with Mantel's kernel. Is this something that has been consistant in the past because of Mantel's experience/quality? Anthony

Hubert Mantel is the kernel package maintainer (as well as one of the original SuSE guys) and places test kernels there. -- -ckm

So those brave souls willing to use these test kernels without the support of SuSE/Hubert Mantel do often ftp them from this directory and help each other out..hence the emails on this list detailing this. :) -----=====-----=====-----=====-----=====----- Ben Rosenberg mailto:ben@whack.org -----=====-----=====-----=====-----=====----- "I've never been quarantined.
