Is there a list of outstanding issues with 10.1? There was with 10.1-RC3. Which are still present? -- Roger Oberholtzer OPQ Systems AB

What we need is a list of unknown problems. ;-)
Then they would no longer be unknown :-P I would prefer to know what is known, so that I would not bump into them unawares and fight them needlessly. - -- Cheers, Carlos Robinson -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.0 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Made with pgp4pine 1.76 iD8DBQFEY8iRtTMYHG2NR9URAuOyAKCXLYbpYH857f5NKpeVm+vd52nzIQCdHqB1 njo81JMLqg0wKU3C4W79XnU= =k83x -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
Well, I have one. I noticed after upgrading from 10.0 to 10.1 that the video seemed very slow. I installed the latest driver from NVIDIA, rebooted, and ran glxgears: $ glxgears 8471 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1694.139 FPS 6710 frames in 5.3 seconds = 1270.745 FPS 45 frames in 5.1 seconds = 8.807 FPS 815 frames in 5.1 seconds = 160.173 FPS 50 frames in 5.0 seconds = 9.944 FPS 772 frames in 5.0 seconds = 154.399 FPS 4877 frames in 5.0 seconds = 972.901 FPS 1681 frames in 5.1 seconds = 330.143 FPS That's nuts. The values are all over the place, it uses TONS of CPU, and under 10.0 it used to do about 2700 FPS. Looks like I have some troubleshooting ahead of me. Everything else seems to be working OK though. Hi Roger, I looked around a bit and the only RNs I could find are downloaded during the installation process :) Also they don't seem to be a "final" version ("... will be finalized later..."). Please let me know if you still want the file (unicast). Something that you may find useful (if you know what you're looking for) is the changelog (8+ MB): http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/SL-10.1/inst-source/ChangeLog Cheers, -mw
