[SLE] from hpux to Suse - telnet
From HPUX I telnet to Suse 6.1 box. HPUX is on TERM='hpterm' or 'ansi' or 'vt100', I tried on all the TERMs listed above and unlisted. Unfortunately,
Hi all, the output on hpux screen still shows unreadable strings. It is very annoying, even totally unreadable. Does anyone knows how to fix this ? Appreciate any suggestions and pointers. I have the same problem. Run this commands: $ TERM=vt100 $ export TERM $ tset Alternatively, if you are running CDE, add this to one of the menus in ~/.dt/dtwmrc "linbox" f.exec "remsh linbox xterm -name linbox -display $DISPLAY -sb -sl 2000" Of course this relies in the linux shell knowing what DISPLAY is set to, or you can replace it with your HP host name. Replace 'linbox' with your real linux box host name -- Rafael Herrera -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/Support/Doku/FAQ/
I'm using the xfmail from the 6.3 distribution (V1.4.0), and it crashes if I
try and cut and paste text into some other apps. Netscape and Emacs cause a
crash, but pasting into an xterm does not.
Any ideas ?
Peter.
